I'm 26 years old and live in Columbia, SC. It's a pretty nice place. I'm sure there are better places. Asheville comes to mind... and quite a few places in Canada. Most of my friends are in Columbia, though.

I'm a computer programmer, working mostly with Java, Python, and PHP. I built most of this website using free open-source software, except for the PHP code that loads my blog's RSS feed into the front page. Another guy did that with whatever he uses.

I'm also a musician, playing bass and trumpet in an eclectic art rock band called Yukos the Crude. We mostly play shows in Columbia.

I'm marrying a very lovely girl named Rita. She is not a meter maid. She has very good taste in music, and I first met her in a local music venue. She's beautiful, intelligent, sane, kind, funny, and lots of other relevant adjectives, and she makes me very happy. She even puts up with my constant farting. I love her a great deal.
